Yesterday me and the Mrs took advantage of the fact that Max was spending the day with his grandparents and we went to see a movie. Actually that’s selling it a little short, what actually happened is that we were transported to another world… we went to see Avatar in 3D.
For anyone who’s seen a trailer for this movie, you’ve already worked out the storyline (pretty much), and were I to (attempt to)share details of the movie I really couldn’t tell you much more than that. That’s because this movie is sooooo much more than a movie, it’s an experience.
Here’s just a few points of my thoughts/feelings during and after the movie:
- WHOA!!!!!!!
- Stupid fricking arrogant humans
- I want to go there (and hang with the Na’vi)
- Man, I’m exhausted
(I wish I’d been wearing a heart rate monitor as I suspect I was clocking at least 180bpm for the last hour or so)

Ooohh i want to see it even more now!
And so you should
“…this movie is sooooo much more than a movie, it’s an experience.”
i have to admit that i wasn’t able to understand that movie during the first few minutes because i was so amazed and impressed with the 3D environment! it just feels so…. real…
watched it twice already and i think i’ll be watching it again soon.
Hey, if you’re feeling like you REALLY want to go to Pandora and you’re a little bummed out about how “dead” everything seems here on Earth, then you are not alone.

For the record, I’m now going to refer to this as P.A.D.S – Post Avatar Depression Syndrome
this movie was one of the best movies i have ever seen in the history of my life lol the tickets were sold unexpectingly cheap it shocked me for how good it was u have to give credit to james cameron and the cast and crew for this its one hell of an expirience definatly gonna buy it when it comes to dvd.
Saw Avatar for the third time last week and while you don’t get you socks blown off anymore it’s still a very visually engaging movie, there is just soooo much detail in the Pandoran evironment. And even though one now knows every bit of the (admitidly thin) story, the last hour or so of the movie is still adrenaline inducing.
Now what’s really amazing is that this movie is just entering it’s fifth month since release and it’s still showing, and the DVD is just weeks away. That’s gotta be some kind of record.
